Civil Defence Centres (CDC’s) are pre-identified locations that may be opened after a disaster. These centres can be set up as information booths, drop-in centres, evacuation centres, welfare centres and very rarely as emergency shelters. Emergency accommodation would normally be provided at existing accommodation facilities such as camp-grounds, motels and hotels.
