The Queenstown Lakes District Council is currently consulting over the 2011/12 Draft Annual Plan.

QLDC Deputy CEO and financial manger Stewart Burns said this year’s Annual Plan had been driven by affordability, debt reduction and value for money for ratepayers resulting in an average rates increase of 2.74%.

Two coffee mornings are being held to give people the opportunity to have a chat about the plan and find out about the key issues.

“These informal gatherings are open to everyone,” said Mr Burns. “Anyone with questions or an interest in the issues is invited to come along and find out more.”
