With two recent major snow events in the Queenstown Lakes District the Council is keen to find out how the community viewed its response, QLDC Transport Manager Denis Mander said.

In the last two week the Wakatipu Basin has experienced snow down to lake level and freezing temperatures generating challenging road conditions.

“While this is still fresh in people’s thoughts we would like a chance to hear from the community about whether or not expectations were met,’ Mr Mander said.

It was also an opportunity for Council to understand the preferred means of receiving information about road conditions.

“There are five simple questions in a two minute survey online to answer which will help us form a picture of how well we are doing,” Mr Mander said.

The survey was available now to take on the home page of the Council website www.qldc.govt.nz. People would have two weeks to participate.
