Media Advisory - Hensman Road Closures

Work on Hensman Road continues next week with road closures taking place to enable the road structure and shape to be upgraded.

The road will be closed to through traffic on Friday 30 September and again between Monday 3 October and Friday 7 October. A diversion will be in place but residents will still have access to their property.

Queenstown Lakes District Council project manager Steve Hewland said while they would endeavour to keep disruption to a minimum, heavy machinery would be in use during the work period and there would be noise and vibration associated with this.

The work is scheduled to finish at the end of November.
