Motorists are advised that delays can be expected on the Crown Range and Cardrona Valley Road from Monday 9 January when road rehabilitation works recommence.

Work will start adjacent to Chain Bay 5 on the Queenstown side of the Crown Range and at two sites on the Cardrona Valley Road on either side of Cardrona Township. Drivers can expect 5-15 minute delays. It is hoped that there will be few delays of 15 minutes duration.

Queenstown Lakes District Council project manager Rob Darby said delays would be kept as short as possible but advised that people should add extra travel time to their journey.

This year’s programme of road rehabilitation works on the Crown Range and Cardrona Valley Road is scheduled to be completed by the beginning of April.
