Congratulations to the newly elected Mayor, Councillors and Wanaka Community Board.
Based on provisional results (98% of the votes cast), the successful candidates are:
Mayor – Jim Boult
Council – Penny Clark, “Ferg” Ferguson, Alexa Forbes, Tony Hill, John MacDonald and Valerie Miller in the Queenstown/Wakatipu Ward; Ella Lawton, Calum MacLeod and Ross McRobie in the Wanaka Ward, and Scott Stevens in Arrowtown.
Wanaka Community Board: Rachel Brown, Ruth Harrison, Quentin Smith and Ed Taylor.
The full provisional results are below. They don’t include votes received in Queenstown or Wanaka this morning, and special votes. These will be included in the final count this week. We expect to declare the results by the end of the week.
The progress result for the Queenstown Lakes District Council elections held on Saturday 8th October is as follows.
This result is based upon the counting of approximately 98% of the returned votes. The progress result does not include some special votes and votes returned today that are still in transit to the processing centre. The outcome of these elections may change once all votes have been counted.
