Trail work in the Queenstown Gardens

A section of the trail through the Queenstown Gardens will be diverted for up to a month while contractors extend the rock wall which protects the trail and gardens from erosion.

Work is due to begin next week (Monday 18 May) but is dependent on the lake level.

The rock wall is on the south side of the shoreline below the Queenstown Ice Rink and Skate Park. The work will entail clearing tree roots and low-hanging branches to provide access to the construction area, followed by placement of the rocks.
