10 Year Plan Consultation
- Date:
- Mar 28, 2015
Consultation on our newly released 10 Year Plan begins this weekend.
A consultation document has been prepared which sets out five major issues where the Council seeks guidance from the community. These are:
- The rating model we should use to fund part of the cost of the Queenstown Convention Centre
- The timing of the new Wanaka pool at Three Parks
- Reducing traffic congestion in Queenstown
- Developing a new library in Frankton in 2020
- Standardising the cost of reticulated water and wastewater services across wards
Information about each of these issues is in the consultation document, with supporting detail in two additional volumes that are also on our website.
The plan puts forward an average 1% rates rise for 2015-16 and an average rates increase of 2.6% over the ten year life of the plan. These increases are average – the impact on each property will differ.
