Three nominations were received for the vacant Arrowtown Ward seat on the Queenstown Lakes District Council when nominations closed at noon today.

The nomination received this morning is from Basil Walter Walker, of Queenstown. He was nominated by Mark Jerome Kramer and Branden Gary Gunst, both of Arrowtown.

The other candidates are:

Scott Reynal Stevens, of Arrowtown

Howard Miller Scott, of Dunedin

Voting papers for the postal vote will be mailed to electors between 9 and 14 April. Polling day, which is the last day voting papers can be received by the returning officer, is 1 May.
