Traffic travelling to and through Arthur’s Point may encounter short delays on weekdays beginning this Thursday while contractors remove a stand of Old Man Pine trees lining Arthur’s Point Road above the Shotover River.

Several of the trees (photo attached) overhang the road. While some will be felled within the adjoining property, others will be brought down onto part of the road and there will be short delays while they are cleared.

Traffic management will be in place between the Edith Cavell Bridge to Morning Star Terrace, with intermittent delays of 5-10 minutes between 9am and 4pm on weekdays. The work will be underway on Thursday and Friday this week, Monday to Thursday next week and possibly also on Monday 9 February, depending on progress.

An alternative route between Queenstown and Arthur’s Point is available through Dalefield.
