224C & STREET NAME SIGNS, ROAD MARKINGS,
ROAD TRAFFIC SIGNS
Following on from a meeting with the Council, the instruction below has been issued:
To ensure that the street names signs are properly installed and that the roads are safe for people to use when vested in the Council - from 1 October 2005 - all works associated with street name signs, road markings and road traffic signs must be completed prior to the issue of 224c. Bonding for these works will no longer be accepted. I bring this to your attention now so that you are able to programme it in to your works programmes prior to the date of implementation. The implication is that road names will have to be finalised early in the process and street name signs ordered well before works in a subdivision get close to practical completion.
