The draft Table and Chairs Policy will be the subject of a hearing tomorrow (Friday).

The policy attracted 86 submissions last year, ranging from advocating the status quo through to concerns that the Queenstown Mall was already difficult to negotiate for wheelchairs and pushchairs.

The hearing, which was rescheduled from December, will take place from 10am at the Queenstown Memorial Hall. The meeting is open to the public and as of today, 8 submitters have indicated they wish to be heard.

Following deliberations the hearing panel will make a recommendation to the full council, which is likely to be included in March council agenda.
