- Date:
- Nov 23, 2007
Next Tuesday (27 November) Council and the Community Housing Trust will be co-hosting a lunchtime presentation on Affordable Housing, featuring Professor Glen Bramley from Heriot-Watt University in Scotland.
Professor Bramley heads housing and urban studies at the university and has been at the forefront of informing Government policy in the UK on the economic costs and benefits of Affordable Housing. He is in New Zealand for discussions with our own government on its actions to address affordable housing. His visit to Queenstown is timely with consultation on Plan Change 24 - Affordable and Community Housing now underway.
The lecture is expected to take approx 1 hour and there will be an opportunity for media interviews afterwards.
Join us at 12 noon in the Council Chambers for this excellent opportunity to hear one of the pre-eminent minds in affordable housing policy speak.
